Kimbo Slice on The Ultimate Fighter Season 10

It was just announced by Dana White that the infamous Kimbo Slice is a contestant on the next season of the Ultimate Fighter. For those of you who don’t know, Kimbo was the fighter (the now extinct) EliteXC based their entire future on. He gained popularity for his backyard brawls on youtube and was quickly an MMA superstar. Unfortunately, Kimbo only fought stiffs for EliteXC. He was finally scheduled to fight Ken Shamrock to prove he belongs in the MMA elite. (I found this ridiculous. Ken Shamrock hasn’t won an important fight in 5 years and is like 50.) Anyways, Shamrock had to pull out due to injury and was replaced by a UFC reject Seth Petrozelli who proceeded to knock Kimbo out in 14 seconds. That knockout also bankrupted EliteXC whose superstar had just been proven to be a superbust. Dana White had been asked frequently if he would ever allow Kimbo to fight in the UFC. His response has always been, only if he wins a contract on TUF. Well Zuffa pulled off another ratings winner by actually getting Kimbo to agree to compete on The Ultimate Fighter. It should make for an incredible season. Rashad Evans and Rampage Jackson, who can’t stand each other, are coaching. I figured watching them banter would be entertaining enough but now we add Kimbo to the mix. My prediction is that TUF 10 will be the highest rated season in the shows history. I think Kimbo is garbage but is tailor made for this show. He will probably do well. My prediction is that he makes it to the finals and loses. He will sign a UFC contract and bring great ratings to UFC pay per view events for a couple years. Of course, Kimbo will get crushed by any of the UFC’s top heavyweights. Mir will submit him. Randy will ground and pound him. Lesnar will swallow him whole. Honestly, I can’t believe the Kimbo hype will continue… my beloved UFC.
